Planning Commission Meeting and Public Hearing
- The Planning Commission meets four times a year at 6 pm on the first Wednesday of the scheduled month in the Township Hall Meeting Room, unless posted. Additional meetings may be scheduled throughout the year.
- The public is welcome to attend any meeting.

PUBLIC HEARING NOTICE – SPECIAL LAND USE Notice is hereby given that the Marengo Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on March 4, 2026, at 6:00 p.m., in the Township Hall, located at 14021 23 Mile Rd., Albion, Michigan, to hear citizens’ comments regarding a request for Special Land Use as follows: Mack Turner of 15600 Verona Road, Marshall, Michigan, has requested a Special Land Use in the CM – Commercial District for Vehicle Sales, Service, and Repair of Motor Vehicles (including farm machinery and marine vehicles) utilizing an existing building and on-site paved parking on parcel number 15-303-018-00, 1006 E. Michigan Avenue.A public hearing to receive public input and comment on the proposed Special Land Use is required by the Township Zoning Ordinance effective December 2019, and by the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (Act 110 of 2006), as amended.Information concerning the proposed Special Land Use request may be inspected at the Township offices on Fridays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. All interested persons are invited to attend the public hearing and provide comment, express concerns or offer support.
