Zoning

Complete the zoning application for land use and processes that are reviewed by the Planning Commission, Zoning Board of Appeals, and the Township Board of Trustees. In addition:

Fees

To call each into session Planning/Zoning Board, Board of Appeals, Zoning Ordinance, Map or Text, Amendment, Site Plan Reviews, Conditional Use and Variance Permits, the fee is $600/session. In addition, a $600 escrow will be collected for additional meetings, publications, attorney and zoning administrator fees invoiced to the township, etc. for the case.  Any escrow funds not used will be returned to the applicant. The Township Board may waive any fee for non-profits.

Rezoning and/or text amendment: $600 plus $600 Escrow
Zoning Board of Appeals (ZBA): $600 plus $600 Escrow
Special Land Use Permit: $600 plus $600 Escrow
Site Plan Review: $600 plus $600 Escrow (unless this is part of a Special Land Use Permit Application).
Extra Meetings: $600 per meeting
Land Split Fee:  $100 application fee plus $50/split

SCCMI permit fees Building (commercial/residential), electric, mechanical, plumbing, registration, and request for public record are paid to SCMCCI.

Marihuana

All checks payable to Marengo Township. All fees are non-refundable and due when an application is submitted.

The Michigan Freedom of Information Act (Public Act 442 of 1976, MCL 15.231, et seq.) gives the public the right to request to inspect and receive copies of public records, and to subscribe to regular issuances of public records.
