MARENGO TOWNSHIP PLANNING
COMMISSION
ZONING AMENDMENT
Notice is hereby given that the Marengo Township Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on September 4, 2024, at 6:00 p.m., in the Township Hall, located at 14021 23 Mile Rd, Albion, Michigan, to hear citizens’ comments regarding a proposal to amend the Marengo Township Zoning Ordinance.
The Marengo Township Planning Commission has determined on its owns initiative, to amend the Township Zoning Ordinance as follows:
Revise Article 3 General Provisions
(Accessory Buildings),
Article 13 Commercial District (Principal Uses Allowed by Right), and Article 20
Special Land Uses (Renewable Energy) (Wind, Solar, and Storage)
A public hearing to receive public input and comment on the proposed zoning amendments is required by the Township Zoning Ordinance 2022-01 effective July 16, 2022 and by the Michigan Zoning Enabling Act (Act 110 of 2006), as amended.
Information concerning the proposed zoning amendments request may be inspected at the Township offices Fridays between the hours of 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. In lieu of personal appearance, you may submit written comments regarding concerns or support to the Planning Commission at the Township offices, 14021 23 Mile Rd, Albion, MI 49224-9508
